Our MissionThe mission of the University of New Orleans Press is to support the goals of the the University of New Orleans as both a research institution and an urban university by publishing and disseminating scholarship and serious literary works that promote public understanding and enrich the culture of the region, nation, and international community. We seek to publish innovative scholarship and creative work in a wide range of academic disciplines, literature, visual arts and music. We seek work that contributes to the rich cultural tradition of the New Orleans area and the region, as well as work that contributes to the intellectual and aesthetic life of academic and general audiences everywhere. We are committed, also, to the University's goal of Internationalization, and to that end seek to publish translations of notable works, both scholarly and creative, written in languages other than English. UNO Press is supported by the University of New Orleans, private grants, and the University of New Orleans Foundation. |
